TheConaways: This has been stolen too many times to keep up. We'll have to figure something a little more stealthy for the Riverwalk.

Geocache Description:

A multi-stage cache showcasing Augusta's Riverwalk Esplanade

This is a 5-stage multicache which highlights Augusta's Riverwalk. It's mostly on the brick pathway, but the final stage is a few feet off the path. The only reason for the terrain rating is due to the length of the walk. The total walk runs about 1.3 miles and will take you about an hour to finish. Please remember to bring lots of water and sunscreen with you, as just a few minutes in the Augusta sun can do some major damage.

Stage 1

Here lies a monument to law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty for the sake of Augusta and Richmond County. Find the next stage by solving each puzzle and placing the results into the formula.

A = The day of the month that D.M. Bragg died
B = Month G. Timmons died
C = Month that E.H. Quarles died
D = Day of the month two days after Herbert L. Evans, Jr., died
E = Day of the month 10 days before W. M .Moore died
F = Month that W.R. Parker died
G = Month in which the most LEs died in one day
H = Month that B. E. Harmon died
I = Month that F.H. Murphy died

Stage 2

The date of this piece of ship equipment is not exactly known, but we can estimate it. Find the year that we think it was used and use that number to solve the puzzle.

^A1^ = First digit of answer
^A2^ = Second digit of answer
^A3^ = ...

33 2^A2^.7^A1^6 8^A1^ ^A3^7.9^A4^^A1^

Stage 3

What's this thing? Some sort of chart? Maybe...who knows. Actually, you'll know exactly what it is when you get there.

There are two columns in front of you with several items in each. Find the number of letters in the full name of what the items abbreviate.

A = 5th of left
B = 2nd of right
C = 3rd of left
D = 5th of right
E = 3rd of right
F = 2nd of left
G = Average of 1st of left and 1st of right

BB 2A.DCB A1 ED.1BG

Stage 4

Whose voice is that? Is someone there? Actually, that's the voice of the NOAA Console Replacement System -- an automated, computer-based system that tells the country what to look for in the way of weather. Look around the site for the answers to the clues.

A = Apparent temperature with 85% humidity when it's 80'F
B = 2 * Maximum Snowfall
C = 10' with 30 mph wind? What's the temperature if we ignore the sign?
D = 85' with 15% humidity

C B.850 D 58.2A
