Geocache Description:

This cache was placed by Cub Scout Pack 747 while they were learning the art of Geocaching from several of their leaders, who truly enjoy the sport.  We have placed this cache at the Dauset Trails Nature Center in Jackson, Georgia, on a new trail that connects the nature center to Indian Springs State Park.  The cache is located on the Dauset Trails portion of the trail and has been placed with the permission from the Director of the Nature Center.  This is not aggressively hidden and is meant to be found by cachers of all ages and is meant to be fun, enjoyable, and to be used as a learning tool.

While in the Nature Center, please take time to visit other caches located here.   The Nature Center also includes an animal trail with various animals, including coyotes, black bears, bison, cougars, bobcats, deer, a bald eagle, several varieties of owls and they even have a reptile exhibit, including snakes and alligators on display for your enjoyment.   There are no admission or parking fees at Dauset Trails, but they do accept donations.

The container is an ammo can hidden within 100 feet of the trail.  Please stay on the trail until you get close to the cache and avoid unnecessary bushwhacking through the forest here.

The listed coordinates for the parking area is the main trailhead and mountain bike trail parking.  During the nature centers normal hours, parking can also be obtained at the main parking area which will greatly shorten your hike.  This cache can also be obtained by hiking in from Indian Springs State Park and the connecting trail is only open during daylight hours.
