Great Pond Boating Event

Rain or shine!
Join us for a boating event on Great Pond in Kingston, NH. Meet and greet other cachers, discuss boat caching, and trade trackables. We plan to meet at 9:30AM at the boat launch to head to the island for the event which will run from 10 - 10:30AM. After the event, we plan on paddling to a few water caches on the pond where you can try out your boat caching skills. You will need a boat for this event. Please note that children under 12 must wear a life jacket in NH.

- Paddle (1 per paddler), plus spare
- Personal flotation device (1 per person)
- Dry bags (for gear organization)

- Signaling devices (whistle, mirror)

About Great Pond:
Great Pond is a 268-acre water body located in Rockingham County in southeastern New Hampshire in the United States. The lake lies near the center of the town of Kingston. Kingston State Park, a small preserve with a swimming beach, occupies the northeastern end of the lake, near the town center. The lake is located along the Powwow River, a tributary of the Merrimack River. The lake is classified as a warm water fishery, with observed species including smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, chain pickerel, white perch, black crappie, bluegill, yellow perch, and pumpkinseed.
