Barton in Fabis, home to around 220 people,and good deal of Horses.located off the busy A453 between Clifton and Thrumpton, six miles from the centre of Nottingham.
This is my third Cache along this stretch of the River Trent Greenway, AKA Trent Valley Way. You can walk, Mountain Bike or ride your Horse along here; it does get a bit muddy in parts after the rain, which can be churned up by the Horses.
You can enjoy spotting wild life, both Fauna and Flora; a Heronary nearby. There are man made ponds along this route, so do check out the water life.
When you visit this Cache, the Theme is Animals (Birds, Insects etc) near Barton in Fabis, so do look out for any wild life, and make a note of what you see in the Log book and here. Also post some nice photos, if they are interesting I can post them on my ng11 group on Flickr (with your say so (Please state))
The Cache is an Ammo Box containing all the usual swaps, log book and pencils. You can walk from the Clifton end, or from Barton in Fabis, you can also do a Cache and Dash if you park at the Barton end. Don’t forget to look out for the Animals and report what you spot...
