Kenlaur: Regrettably I am unable to get to Niagara to replace this cache so I have decided to archive it so perhaps a local can place one here.

Geocache Description:

If there are too many muggles around and you do not think you can retrieve the cache without compromising it then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bypass it and return later .. maybe try it on your way to the Falls and if not possible try again on the way back.

It is imperative to rehide the hybrid back the way you found it and replace the rectangular rock back so it seems that it doesn't move.

Also PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE the custom carved rubber stamp !!!

Thank you!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------

Letterbox hybrid located just beside a sidewalk that is VERY VERY BUSY at times!!!

Hybrid should be an easy find, especially since it has been already found and logged in error by many cachers when it was only listed on a letterbox site.

The CO of the previous archived cache "One Armed Bandit" was gracious by archiving his to avoid any confusion between the two. So we decided to make our Letterbox a hybrid to keep an active geocache in the area.

-------------------------------------------------------

This cache is a hybrid geocache/letterbox.

For those who are unfamiliar with letterboxing we will try to describe it. Letterboxing is very similar to geocaching with the exception that those who seek letterboxes seldom use GPS units but rely mainly on hints that are posted on a website (www.letterboxing.org)

Another difference is letterboxers do not trade swag but exchange stamp impressions which most Letterboxers custom carve themselves. Letterboxers stamp their trail/signature stamp image into the logbook and write any notes they want to add the same as a geocacher would do. They then make an impression of the Letterbox stamp in their own logbook.

Please feel free to join the letterbox fun, there are not nearly as many letterboxes in Ontario as Geocaches but it is a nice supliment to geocaching. Please be stealthy when going for and replacing this cache.

-------------------------------------------------------

PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE HAND CARVED STAMP FROM THE BOX/CACHE!!!!!

PLEASE NO SWAG in this hybrid. Small TBs and GCs are OK!!

-------------------------------------------------------

THE FOLLOWING IS OUR DESCRIPTION FROM THE LISTING ON THE LETTERBOX SITE. It has the letterbox clue so you can try finding it the Letterboxing way if you wish. Or you can use the coordinates.

This is the latest addition to our Niagara Falls Ontario area boxes.

Decided to plant this one "last minute" so you will have to excuse the simple carve.

The box is placed near the Fallsview Casino hence the name of the box, and the design of the stamp.

The box is a Lock N Lock covered in black duct tape.

To the box:

The box is located on Murray St. which runs from the Niagara Parkway to Fallsview Blvd. and onwards past Stanley Ave.

Starting at Niagara Parkway and Murray St.
Walk up Murray St. on the left side sidewalk (same side as the Casino)
About 1/2 way up you will see the driveway entrance to the Skylon Tower across the street (to your Right).
Look to the Left and up and you will see the Fallsview casino towering above you.
Once you are directly under the left edge (downhill side) of the pedestrian walkway look slightly up for a white PVC pipe sticking up.
Now look down slightly for a small 10 inch X 3 inch rectangular rock located 1 layer of large boulders from the top.
Move the small stone and reach in and down to retrieve the box.
Please be very stealthy !!!!
Please replace the the small stone so it looks like it is part of the wall ( the same as we had it).

Please be very stealthy and replace the cover material the same as we had it.

"TFTC / Found it" type logs accepted but discouraged!!
