Geocache Description:

Pitch in and "Pick up the Parks". Help the Parks clean up from the Winter accumulation of trash and get the parks looking great for Spring and Summer.

The Monroe County Parks belong to all of us, so let’s join together to keep them clean and green!

"Pick Up the Parks" is a annual event that is held at multiple county parks and open to the public to help pitch in an maintain the land we all enjoy. The Geocachers of the Rochester Area (GeoRoc) and other outdoor organizations (ADK Club, Sierra Club, Nature Conservancy, etc.) have collaborated with the Monroe County Parks department to coordinate, organize, and participate in this county-wide park stewardship initiative. For this event, Genesee Valley Park was "adopted" by GeoRoc and that's where we'll be pitching in to help out again.

igator210 is the current site leader for Genesee Valley Park, so he'll be directing geocachers and muggles alike. There will be specific areas designated for geocachers participating in the CITO event to focus on. The GeoRoc Geocaching Display Board will also make an appearance.
