Geocache Description:

You are looking for a black matchstick container with log only.  Bring writing utensil with you.  No room for swag.  It is off the edge of the cemetery away from monuments, etc.  As always with these cahse, please no night caching.  Be respectful of the area, and enjoy caching!!

I have passed this cemetery many times over the years and never really realized there were no caches here.  It's a nice little country cemetery in Newark, Indiana.  Unfortunately, in the last few months, I have had to visit this cemetery for the burial of some really good people.  Most recently, my father in law.  About a month after his funeral, my brother and I were talking about cache placements and this cemetery came to mind.  While seeing his headstone after it was placed, I notice something perfect off in the edge of the woods.  I decided it had to be done.  My father in law wored for GE for years and retired a few years ago to his family farm that had beenin the family since the late 1800's.  He grew up a country boy and as a part of his up bringing, he would help anyone, at any time.  For 28 years, he was not only father inlaw, but he was my friend and my mentor.  The object in the woods near his grave could not have been more fitting and I felt the need to place a cache here.  I, like everyone who knew him, could count on Chuck to help out when you needed it, so I figure this cache will be safe and sound under his watchful eye.
