The first of a series of 61 caches over 17.5 miles. Can be split into loops of 5 miles (1 - 21) and 7.5 miles (35 - 61) with a 5 mile stretch from 21 - 35. The route covers a variety of terrain including woodland, fields, village streets and open ground near the ridgeway with some nice views along the way. However there are several places where it can be pretty muddy.
I do not advise walking on the road between Hampstead Norreys and Compton. The traffic is fast and the grass verges small.
The series is doable on bicycle if you like off road cycling and can manage a couple of kissing gates.
Parking for a couple of cars is available near No 1 and in Compton village and near 61 (next to the allotments) and in Hampstead Norreys village.
