The Janne hotel building was built by Janne Bildat in 1910, and designed by one of the most prominent Latvian architects of all times Konstantīns Pēkšēns in Art Nouveau style. During the century the building featured a small tailor, carpenter, shoemaker, tanner, chimney-sweeper workshops and tavern. In 2014, the hotel was renovated by developer Valdis Janovs, converting a facility which had become into a small family hotel. Currently Janne hotel preserves rich history and aura of the building, rooms and interior is decorated individually and accordingly to their initial historic use. The building is a part of Āgenskalns – historic Riga district.
