Fencing and hedge planting 10:00 – 12:00
Friday 15th February
Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords, there is a footbridge to take you over to Horsbere. Or if there is space you can park by the gates leading in to the brook (waypoint1).
Where: We will meet on the main track (published co-ordinates).
What: Some hedge planting, but mainly fencing. We will be fencing the newly planted hedge to protect it from damage by the cattle used to graze the site in the Autumn.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and any tools and gloves needed. Please bring your own gloves and tools if you prefer and a spade if you have one.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.They will introduce the session and do the health and safety brief prior to work commencing. Children will need supervision and pets kept under control.
