Bamburgh 360 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Workyticket: As there appears to have been no response from the CO we are archiving this cache listing to prevent it from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements in the area. Once a cache is archived for non-responsiveness (including the cache page) it can't be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This cache is just outside Bamburgh and is situated at one of the best 360 degree views in Northumberland in our opinion. There is no need to go down the hole which has now been locked off by the authorities. The cache is on the surface but there is no need to hunt for the cache box as we hope you just enjoy the stunning view. The cache is constantly being muggled so it has been difficult to maintain it regularly as we live 60 miles away For more information, click of the link.

As you can see upon your arrival, caution and respect is called for to begin the walk to the cache. Due to the location we have amended the approach to the cache to avoid any interaction with golfers nearby. Please do not enter the gate nearest the golf tee but walk down the hill on the main road path about 100-200 yards to the next gate (downhill towards Bamburgh) Once through the gate you are heading for the high ground and what looks like some ancient machinery. Don't worry, its all been made safe. On reaching the cache, face the castle and the Farnes. This is your 12 o'clock. At 1 to 2 is Seahouses, at 5 to 6 is Cheviot and Hedgehope Hills, at 7 to 8 is Budle Bay, and finally, at 9 is Holy Island and Lindisfarne.
