Geocache Description:

Hiding this cache for KC on a hot day in September made me want to swim at this location and not cache. First to Find has the choice of an Amathyst, Rhodonite or Apache Tear. Amathyst as I love purple, Rhodonite - a beautiful pink stone from BC and Apache Tears as they are obsidian from Volcanic rock which also reminded me of BC.

This could be very wet and muddy if the tide is high or in the spring or fall. Be prepared to walk across a log to find this cache. On yet another trail that KC discovered. I got here from the very end of the Pearson Road. There is plenty of public parking. I hid this cache remembering all of the times KC and I have had crazy swims to caches. There was one 5am swim to get a FTF at Matheson Lake, there was another swim in Thetis Lake for another FTF at which KC dropped his glasses in very deep water. He dove down and had me place my feet on his back underwater to keep him from coming up while his hands scanned the bottom of the lake. He did eventually find his glasses but I was sure I was going to drown him! Thank you for every cache we've found together friend. Everyone has been an adventure. Your company has always been a highlight of my day. Thank you for all that we have shared, all the places we have gone and all that you have taught me. You are an extraordinary friend!
