The first 30 minutes of this event will be on land and for none kayakers and safety checks for first timers for those wishing to make the trip the optional water part of the event is at 9:00am we will be leaving land at 9:00 am. This is a all day kayaking trip starting at 9 am going down the Siltcoos river to the Dam and then back up to the lake. There are a few caches along the way, rope swings, sand dunes and water games. If you need to rent a kayak Siltcoos River rentals rent them and there is another rental place just south of Florence. Some of the cachers in are area have extra kayaks contact me and I will see if any are available FIRST TO ASK WILL GET BOATS IF AVAILABLE .
Siltcoos Park is a Lane County pass $4.
You will need to bring a packed lunch, snacks, water, warm clothes as it can get very cold the closer we get to the Ocean. A Dry bag is always good to have on these wet trips. Sun Block! Porting the dam is optional as we will be turning around and headding back to the lake , It's an easy place to get out of your kayak and walk down the walk way pulling your boat. If you are brave and don't mind getting wet you can always ride the boat ramp down.
