Geocache Description:

Australia's first NFC cache

NFC (Near Field Communication)is an international transmission standard for contactless exchange of data over short distances of up to 4 cm. Devices (such as your smartphone) can communicate with one another or another device or even just a NFC enabled sticker simply by touching them near each other or within a few centimetres. Uses for this technology includes sharing files, sharing contacts, unlocking doors, beaming you up to your spaceship, unlocking lifts, paying for items at shops and vending machines, or simply giving your phone a task (eg. you can have an NFC sticker next to your bed to put your phone on silent and set your alarm) Most high end Blackberry, Android and Windows 8 Smartphones come with NFC capability. IPhones unfortunately do not have NFC but can decode a field puzzle with an App.

Tap the back of your device on the NFC sticker at WP1 and you will receive the final co-ordinates. For a list of phones with NFC see this site NFC Phones
This cache will take you to two nice Camperdown landmarks.
Tip: Some phones need to be unlocked first. Some phones need an app(free). Tap the sticker on the middle of the back of your phone. Beware of aftermarket batteries, the NFC antenna is often hidden in the battery.

Tag
If you don't have NFC there is a puzzle that uses some OLDER technology. Decode the field puzzle labelled "Resistance is futile" to get the co-ords of GZ. Please email me if you are colour blind
Please mention in your log how you obtained the gz co-ords (old school or NFC)
