On a recent business trip, I went to the summit of Sulphur Mountain and enjoyed the spectacular view. You will be more than a mile above sea-level, so walk slowly and bring plenty of water.
You can walk up, a 700 meter rise, which can take anywhere from 2 to 5 hours. Or you can pay for the gondola ride. I wasn't prepared for a long hike, so I rode up, but friends said the hike was rigorous and fun. If you do walk up, you can ride down for free.
July 15th, 2013. Due to vagaries of GPS location and the possibility that the boardwalk atop the mountain has changed in 12 years, if you get to the top, you are there. Log it. You do not and should not leave the marked areas on the mountain to log the cache. Be safe.
