Old MacDonald is preparing for his legacy.
He does not own stocks and bonds. He does not have a 401k and like most farmers of his generation, he is land poor.
In preparation for the ladies leaving the barn in the spring, he has to inspect and repair miles of fences. This year he is making a joint project and preparing for his farm's future. His son, Young Mac, is home, helping with the fence repair and together they will survey and create detailed maps.
Young Mac, a disillusioned Silicon Valley geek, tired of fighting to get on the free commuter bus, is home for a few weeks of R & R, complete with all his devices.
Young Mac, with a love of tech history has a solution for Old MacDonald's desire for detailed maps. It's a QRST database. This was a technique used by a big high tech company that can display detailed maps of any place in the world. Every point on the perimeter can be defined with a QRST set of letters.
Young Mac remembers this location well because it's where he sat and first read Einsteins' Theory of Relativity. What an awe inspiring spot.
