Cache placed on 12-12-12 in order to replace the "Micro" version. This box is placed with the autorisation of the president of the Jeanneke Pis ASBL association.

La Jeanneke Pis est une statue et une fontaine d'environ 50 cm qui représente une petite fille qui urine, nue et accroupie, et représente l'équivalent féminin du Manneken-Pis. Elle se situe entre les numéros 10 et 12 de l'impasse de la Fidélité à Bruxelles, une impasse donnant sur la rue des Bouchers (en néerlandais Beenhouwersstraat). Réalisée en 1985 par le sculpteur Denis-Adrien Debouvrie († 2008) qui était également propriétaire de plusieurs restaurants de l'Îlot Sacré, elle a été inaugurée en 1987. Elle est placée à un mètre de hauteur, sans doute comme un moyen d'attirer davantage de touristes dans le quartier.



Hoe goed kent u Brussel ? Weinig zullen volmondig ‘ja‘ zeggen, want zelf de inwoners ontdekken nog regelmatig nieuwe plekjes in onze fantastische hoofdstad waar meer pareltjes te ontdekken zijn dan Manneken Pis & het Atomium.
Het lijkt de laatste jaren dat Brussel zijn charmes verloren heeft en men er liever wegblijft… uit angst, of is er een andere reden? Langs deze reeks caches nodigen we jullie graag uit om ‘Ons Brussel’ te ontdekken, en dan zijn zeer zeker niet alleen de klassiekers. Hopelijk krijgen jullie dan een andere mooiere kijk op deze pracht stad.

Door de vele gebouwen ( metaal & ander materiaal) kan de GPS afwijking enorm groot worden... maar geen getreur... de meeste caches spreken voor zich en zal het vinden niet een probleem worden.

Jeanneke Pis is een standbeeld in het centrum van Brussel van een meisje dat aan het plassen is. Het beeldje is geplaatst in 1985 op initiatief van de lokale handelaren met de bedoeling meer bezoekers te lokken naar hun straat. De inspiratie komt van het zeer bekende Manneken Pis. Het werk is gemaakt door de beeldhouwer Denis-Adrien Debouvrie.

Veel mugglers , soms ook meer dus geduld uitoefenen…en het goede moment afwachten is de boodschap!

So about them missing TBs and coins. A lot of people are dissapointed the cache is empty, while there are several TBs/coins listed on the cachepage. I know. I don't like it either. What happens is that many visiting cachers (usually tourists) wait until they get home before they log their finds. This can take up to several weeks! I could remove the TBs from the listing ('mark as missing'), but then the TB-owner gets needlessly worried (as the TB isn't really missing). As a personal rule I wait about 4 weeks before I do this. I guess this is just the way it is with high-frequency caches. If you really want to find some TBs/coins try my bookmark list 'Amsterdam for foreign visitors' which gives you all the likely candidates. But beware: all high-frequency caches have this problem!
