Growing up in the 1950's I remember JACKIE ROBINSON as a Brooklyn Dodger. Although I was too young to see him play at Ebbets Field I can remember my father talking about him. My Dad was a New York Yankees fan but he always commented on the Talent that Jackie had. Read the Plaque on the house & it will tell you just a small tidbit of info on who I think was a Great American. Jackie also served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1944. Not too many people know that Jackie lived in Brooklyn for a few years starting in 1947 ( Rookie of the year that year) until 1949 ( MVP that year) This house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1976.
