Come explore a family and pet friendly, out-of-the-way Naperville Park / DuPage County Forest Preserve as you make your find. Once owned by the Burlington Railroad, the area was once a popular, early 20th century "railroad park", just a short excursion for Chicagoans wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. An earlier dam south of here once created a small lake used for boating and fishing. You're looking for a micro, with only room for a log (BYOP), just a short walk from the small parking area. It might be a bit muddy after major rains. Please replace cache as found. NOTES: 1. This Geocache is placed on DuPage County Preserve property with permission. 2. Do not place the following items in the Geocache: Food items or inappropriate, offensive, or hazardous materials. 3. DuPage County Forest Preserve hours are 1 hour after sunrise until 1 hour before sunset. Preserve users must not be in the preserves after hours. 4. It is the visitor’s responsibility to be aware of the policies and rules pertaining to this preserve.
