Geocache Description:

The listed coordinates are bogus. Ignore them.

So I’m out in one of our favorite areas, looking around for a place to hide another cache. After a good while of traipsin’ through the woods carrying an ammo can full of goodies, the inevitable happens – get my feet tangled up in the leaves and brush, and take a header down the hill. Hat flies off, ammo can launches itself, and my pockets automatically eject their contents across what seem to be half an acre or so of prime scenic woodlands. Grab my hat first, cause it is starting to spit snow up here on the mountain, and this doxie ain’t got much fur left covering his brain-bucket. Find various geo-tools (hemostats, Swiss Army knife, Sharpie pen, GPSr) – good! Find my wallet – very good! But wait….where are my CAR KEYS??? Arrrggghhhhhh! A frantic search turns up a most strange occurrence - the Scrabble tiles that were in my jacket pocket (to be used in a devious puzzle cache at some future date) had managed to land in two most curious formations:

OK, weird, but I can't be bothered with deciphering that at the moment – after all, how am I gonna get back home if I can’t find those darned car keys? A few more frantic minutes, and still no keys…and the snow is really starting to come down now. And to top it all, I’m getting hungry – why oh why did I just have a salad with balsamic vignerette for lunch? OK, scurry now, and find those car keys? Where can they be? Think, think – logically. Where’s Spock when you need him? Direction must be the key – coordinate your search, dummy, and figure out what direction they must have passed when they got launched? Retrace the fall…musta' gone that-a-way…EUREKA! Peeking out from under some leaves were the car keys! All right, now, back to the mission – where’s that ammo can? There it is - and wonder of wonders, as I fell I must have tossed it aside in order to try and keep my balance, and it landed in a perfect little hidey-hole…where it remains, just waiting for you to find it.

You’ll find this cache at about 2050 feet elevation, just off a neat little trail that jumps off of a very nice larger trail. Parking will be in a pretty obvious spot about 1.5 miles away. And if you look around just a bit to the north of the cache, you will find a TVA survey mark and three bearing trees. FTF prize is a small ready-to-place cache.
