This cache is located at the top of New Hill, just above New Hill Cemetary. Not too long of a hike but steep in spots. Great view of both Anaconda and West Valley. Will be difficult to access in winter.
Best to park at the trailhead for Fifer Gulch at the terminus of Evergreen Street. The trail starts just past the entrance gate...look for a faint trail that jogs off to the right (west) from the main trail. It becomes more apparent the furthur up the trail you go. There is an alternate access at the trailhead on Ward Road just 1/2 mile further west. Cache is located at the top of the hill; Wear good shoes as parts are rocky and steep. Less than 1/2 mile from the parking lot to the cache. Cache is a medium size plastic geocache container, and has a number of pretty good trading items inside.
