While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

Geocaches which have not been maintained or the owner has not responded will not be taken out of the archive

Geocache Description:

BØLGEN

NOR: Bølgen gang- og sykkelbru i Sellikdalen går over elva Lågen i Kongsberg. Brua er 102 meter lang og 3 meter bred, og er en fagverkskonstruksjon med tak. Gangbrua er dimmensjonert for kjøring med traktor og bil. Det er Arkitekt Arne A. Eggen som har tegnet brua, og Knut Gjerding-Smith har vært konsulent.
Prosjektet er et samarbeidsprosjekt mellom Statens Vegvesen, Kongsberg Kommune og Kongsberg Næringspark.
Odd Gulaker fra Statens Vegvesen var byggeleder i prosjektet. Bygget som enhetspriskontrakt, byggetid 8 mnd, til en kontraktsum på 16 mill.
Offisiell åpning av brua var 16. juni 2009.

ENG: Bølgen (= the wave) is a walking- and a bicyclebridge in Sellikdalen which goes over the river Lågen in Kongsberg. The bridge is 102 meters long and 3 feet wide and is covered by a roof. Arne A. Eggen was the architect who designed the bridge, and Knut Gjerding.Smith was the consultant.
The construction cost about 16 mill. NOK.
Official opening of the bridge was 16 June 2009.
