Church Micro 1679...Houghton Conquest
The cache is a 35mm film pot. It contains only a log. Please bring your own pen / pencil. Please note that the final cache is located outside the churchyard and is NOT accessible from inside the churchyard.
The church of All Saints is a spacious and elegant structure, chiefly in the Perpendicular style, consisting of chancel, nave, aisles, south porch and an embattled tower of the Decorated period, containing 6 bells: it was restored in 1870 by the late Sir G. Gilbert Scott R.A.
The church is usually open twice a week (wednesday and, I think, Saturday). A leaflet of history of the church is available from the church.
To find the location of the final cache, you will need to visit the published coordinates. Please be respectful in the churchyard. You will need to find out which year (ABCD) the porch was repaired. This information is within the church, but can be found whether the church is open or not.
