That Ragged Old Flag Traditional Geocache
sloughfoot: The Ragged Old Flag cache was under an old mailbox where people could dispose of old flags which would be burned in a ceremony. We went past the park on the 4rth of July and the old mailbox is no longer there.

Cache is a small container with room enough for a log.
Team Sloughfoot placed this cache while celebrating the 4th of July in our hometown. The cache is located in a Veterans Park that contains memorial bricks of several relatives on Team Sloughfoot. The local VFW will also properly dispose of any flag that has reached the end of it's useful life. Spend a little time honoring our veterans and enjoy the shady setting with picnic tables and a playground. The flagpoles that make up the ring of flagpoles are each dedicated to the veterans of a particular war and there is a retired cannon to examine.
