Geocache Description:

Join Worldwide Flash Mob XIV in Kissimmee wearing your unique AFDB or AMCP; mingle, sign event log and have your photo taken before dispersing. There will be some themed giveaway items. Please be sure to log a “will attend” log. Additionally, you will find the historic “World’s Most Unique ???” (GCD6F8) virtual cache at this location, and we have plans for a brand new multi-cache with an extraterrestrial theme which is to be published on the day of the event.

What is an AFDB? Otherwise known as an Aluminum Foil Deflection Beanie, an AFDB is a type of headgear made from one or more sheets of aluminum foil, or piece of conventional headgear covered and lined with foil. The beanie shields the brain from brain scanning threats/weapons, preventing mind control and mind reading. AFDBs are safe and operate automatically; all you have to do is wear it. Instead of AFDB, some people prefer to use the term AMCP, Alien Mind Control Protection.  Whatever term you prefer… we can’t wait to see you with yours!

Remember, it is important to have the shiny side pointing out because the shiny side is most reflective to mind control & thought manipulation methods. The dull side can actually absorb incoming signals in certain environmental conditions. Painting your AFDB will not degrade its protective abilities, so you can be mentally safe and stylish! Beware of commercial made AFDBS; always construct your own. Trust No one!

The event will begin at 1:00pm and last 30 minutes:

1:00 pm - start gathering at GZ (Kissimmee Monument of States) wearing your AFDB, sign log

1:15 pm – treat and giveaway items

1:20 pm - group photo

1:30 pm - take off AFDBs & AMCPs and disperse

Street side parking is available, but may be limited due to weekend traffic. Please see waypoints for additional parking coordinates.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT THE LOCATION: The Monument of States stands as a unique piece of art located near Kissimmee’s Lakefront Park, a towering tribute to the unity of the United States. The monument began after the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. It is the creation of Dr. Charles Bressler-Pettis, a local artist and tourism booster, who wanted a symbol of American unity and a draw for local tourism. In 1942, Dr. Pettis wrote letters to every governor, requesting local rocks from their states. Donations arrived, and in 1943 the contributions were mortared into a 50-foot monument, each slab having a rock embedded in it and inscribed with the donor’s name and location. The monument was dedicated on March 28, 1943, and promoted as The World’s Most Unique Monument. It became an evolving piece. Over time it and the surrounding walkways were augmented with additional rocks, initially with rocks collected by Dr. Pettis and his wife during their travels, later with rocks donated by cities, 22 foreign countries and corporations. Contributions to the monument came in a variety of shapes, sizes, formats and materials… chunks of rock, stones, small boulders, blocks of granite, fossils, horns, meteorite, stalagmite, petrified wood, teeth, bone, canon ball, hunks of building etc. Historically, the monument stands as an example of tourism efforts of the mid 20th century, prior to the arrival of large theme parks.

A special thank you to the Treasure Coast Geocaching Club for their contribution of additional raffle prizes.
