Saldus pilskalns atrodas pie Saldus ezera, vecas Saldus - Rigas šosejas mala. No blakus esoša automašinu stavlaukuma redzama pasakaina panorama uz pilskalnu un Saldus pilsetu.

Saldus pilskalnu senie kurši jau apdzivojuši krietni pirms 12. gadsimta. Arheologiskos izrakumos Saldus pilskalna un tas apkartne, iegutie arheologiskie atradumi lauj pilskalnu datet ar agro dzelzs laikmetu.

Par Saldus pilskalnu saglabajušas daudzas teikas, kuras parasti stasta par saldo dzivi kalna iekšpuse un beidzas ar teikumu: “Saldu edu, saldu dzeru, Saldus kalna galina”.

Saldus Hill is located near the Saldus Lake and the old Saldus - Riga highway side. From the parking lot shown on a dreamlike panorama of the hill and town Saldus.

Saldus hill has already inhabited well before 12. century. Archaeological excavations in Saldus hill and its surroundings, the Archaeological finds dated to the early Iron Age.

About Saldus hill survived many legends, which usually tells about the sweet life in the interior of the hill and ends with the sentence: "Sweet eat, sweet drink, on Saldus hill".
