Galesnjak, Ricul and nearby islands island

Galesnjak:
Galešnjak (also called Island of Love) is located in the Pašman channel between the islands of Pašman and the town of Turanj on mainland Croatia. It is one of the worlds few naturally occurring heart-shaped objects, and it is the most heart-shaped naturally formed island in the world. The island has a surface of 0.132 km2. The length of the beach is 1.55 km. On the island are two peaks; the highest of these peaks is 36 m high above sea level. The island's unusual shape was first recorded in the early 19th century by Napoleon's cartographer Charles-François Beautemps-Beaupré who included in his 1806 atlas of the Dalmatian coast (kept today at the National and University Library in Zagreb). In February 2009 it was highlighted on Google Earth which brought the island to worldwide attention. This tiny heart-shaped island in the Adriatic sea has featured on news channels, newspapers and many websites and blogs.

Galesnjak:
Galešnjak (také nazyvany ostrov lásky) se nachází v kanálu Pašman mezi ostrovy Pašman a mestem Turanj na uzemi Chorvatska. Je to nejvíce prirozene vytvoreny ostrov ve tvaru srdce na svete. Ostrov má plochu 0.132 km2. Délka pláže je 1.55 km. Na ostrove jsou dva vrcholy, nejvyšší z techto vrcholu je 36 m vysoko nad hladinou more. Neobvyklý tvar ostrova byl poprvé zaznamenán na pocátku 19. století, kdy kartograf Napoleon Charles-François Beautemps-Beaupré zaznamena v jeho atlase (1806) z dalmatského pobreží (dochovaný v Národní a univerzitní knihovne v Záhrebu). V únoru roku 2009 byl zduraznen na Google Earth. To pripoutalo na ostrov pozornost celeho sveta. Tento drobny srdcovy ostrov v Jaderském mori se objevil na mnoha zpravodajskych kanálech, novinách, casopisech a nespocet webových stránek.
