Geocache Description:

Parking is available on state beach property for a day use fee (currently $10 as of 5.21.12) OR on surrounding surface streets for free, but then you'll have to walk in. Always check parking signs before walking in as time might be limited on surface streets.
If bringing children or pets watch them carefully. This viewing area has no barrier and it is a steep/high drop off. Cache is well away from the edge though.

One of our favorite places to spend a day, or several days, is at Carpinteria State Beach. Having been here camping with family this week I decided to place a few caches in this pretty place.

A little off the beaten path you'll find this very scenic view. From here you can see the seal preserve below, the beach there is closed October to May for seal breeding season.

Up above is where you'll find this unique container that I purchased from gc.com. Cache is a few steps off the path, under a bush, and blends very well. Definitely not a nano!
