This cache is located in the Narbeck Wetland Sanctuary on Seaway Blvd. near the Boeing Everett plant. This is a beautiful park with a perimeter trail and boardwalks through the center. The evening we hid the cache, we saw a shrew, three deer and several rabbits. Since this is a wetland sanctuary, please be careful looking for the cache. The cache location is near the trail in a very typical cache hiding place. The real treasure is finding out about this sanctuary, so the cache is easy to find. Park at the lot off of Seaway Blvd. at N47 56.080, W122 15.656. Round trip from the parking lot across the boardwalks to the cache and back is about one mile.
Contrary to the signs, the boardwalks through the center of the sanctuary do connect to the back perimeter trail, so no need to walk all the way around. The cache is called the Narbeck Pen and Pencil Cache because it originally had a tradeable supply of interesting pens and pencils. It has been muggled so many times, it is now a small Rubbermaid container. Hopefully, if it stays safe, it can again be replaced with a container of pens and pencils.
Please re-hide the cache well as this cache has been muggled several times since it was first hidden in 2002.
