An Ammo Can in the Woods
I met RheS at a spring event in Schaumburg in 2009 and have run into him at several FTF hunts since. He has been caching for many years and has been especially diligent over the last 2.739726027 Years. Yep, 1000 consecutive days of FINDING a cache.
In 2009, I completed his 100 consecutive days and was not only happy to be successful but it was also nice not to feel the obligation of needing a find. I can only wonder in amazement what doing that NINE more times would feel like.
RheS comes up with some very entertaining hides (OSIL Series) and some very Challenging Challenges (Cache-a-Day Illinois) and has been a large part of the geocaching community.
I'm sure there may be another or several others that have or will eventually search for and find caches for 1000 consecutive days but I don't know them so this one is for Rhes. Congrats on this accomplishment and here's to many more finds and hides for years to come whether they be consecutive or not.
Several of us were involved along my side with the creation of this cache, Fishnic supplied and decorated the can, Eyeseeit found a great location and hid it, Scottberks supplied moral support and ideas, plus he has cached with RheS up in Wisconsin. Officially, Eyeseeit is the only one who has been to the site and I am the only other who know the coordinates beforehand so the FTF is open to almost everyone else.
