What better way to help celebrate Earth Day than to help clean up your local parks and trails. Although Earth Day is officially April 22nd, many communities have their events on the weekends before and after that date. So come and see some familiar faces and hopefully meet some new ones too while helping to do your part in cleaning up our community.
Last year we had the Spring Cache In/Trash Out Event at Fort Snelling State Park. It was a great success. Read more about it here. Some local geocachers spent a few hours helping to make their parks cleaner for everyone to enjoy. Check out this cool photo gallery from last year's event. We also hoped to attract positive attention toward geocaching from park administrators and others.
Parking is available at the above coordinates, as is easy trail access.
Driving directions: South of the intersection of County Road B and White Bear Avenue at Maplewood Community Center.
Please come prepared with gloves, garbage bags, trash sticks, etc. Don't forget to bring something to drink!
