Office Space: Milton Traditional Geocache

Office Space is a 1999 American comedy film written and directed by Mike Judge. Satirizing work life in a typical mid-to-late-1990s software company, it focuses on a handful of individuals fed up with their jobs. While not a huge box office success, Office Space is a cult classic. If you work in an office and you've not seen the film, you ought to watch it.

Each cache in this series is a tribute to a key character from the film. None of these hides are intended to be difficult, other than the usual stealth requirement. You will see much empty office space in these parts. Bring an extraction tool and a log roller if you have one.

Milton Waddams. All the man wants is a few simple pleasures — a nice desk, a piece of cake at a co-worker's birthday and his red Swingline stapler. For most of the movie, Milton is trampled upon by everyone around him. Turns out he was actually laid off five years earlier, but kept receiving paychecks due to a computer glitch. Once the glitch is fixed, his bosses don't bother to tell him he is fired and instead just assume he will eventually leave. But he doesn't. It's only after his beloved stapler is confiscated that the meek mumbler finally snaps.
