Cupcakes Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Hanoosh: As this cache appears not to have been found for some time now and it is evident the CO is no longer caching having not logged on for more than five years, I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:

The Cashe is located approx. half way on this circular walk. Following the hedgerow on the public footpath the Cashe is a small lunch box size container. Parking and start point at St Andrews church in Great Staughton.

Start the search at St Andrews church in Great Staughton (car parking available). Head down the public footpath past Place House which was originally built in 1539 by Oliver Leder; it was in medieval times a substantial moated manor house, but much of it was unfortunately destroyed by fire in the 17th Century. The house now belongs to the Duberly family who have played an important role in the history of the village since the 18th Century.
The walk continues towards and crosses the river Kym and turns back up a slight hill towards the Old Vicarage - if you're on a family walk, with a very small detour you can have a play in the local park before heading back down towards the church. The full circular walk will take approx. 30-40 minutes.
To find the Cashe, which is located about half way on the walk, you will need to be looking at the end of the hedgerow for a small lunch box size container.
Wellies needed on a wet day!
