Das Oberrothorn ist 3414 Meter hoch und Europas höchster Wanderdreitausender.
Das Oberrothorn ist der höchste Wanderweg Europas (3'415 m.ü.M.), einer der eindrücklichsten Aussichtspunkte von Zermatt mit Sicht auf 38 Viertausender, naturphilosophischer Themenweg: die Evolution vom Mineral zur Seele mittels Metall-Glas-Skulpturen (4-sprachig). Während der ganzen Wanderung geniesst du den besten Blick aufs Matterhorn.
Es muss nicht geklettert werden.
Idealer Ausgangspunkt ist das Unterrothorn, welches bequem per Bahn erreicht werden kann. Die Wanderzeit ab Unterrothorn beträgt ca. 1.5 - 2 Std.
Bitte nach dem Suchen den Cache wieder gut und Winterfest verstecken.

The Oberrothorn is 11200 feet high and is the highest peak that is possible to be climbed in Europe without a mountain guide!
The 360º panorama from the top is certainly one of the finest views in Zermatt and the Alps, similar in quality to the Mettelhorn. 38 four-thousand meter peaks are visible from the Ober Rothorn. Utilising some mountain lifts, this makes for a relatively fast and spectacular summit hike.
Time required: About one and a half hours, maybe two hours walking from the Unterrothorn. From Zermatt you can take the cable train to Unterrothorn.
