"Alice was an American sitcom television series that ran from August 31, 1976 to March 19, 1985 on CBS. The series was based on the 1974 film Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. The show starred Linda Lavin in the title role, a widow who moves with her young son to start her life over again, and finds a job working at a roadside diner on the outskirts of Phoenix, Arizona. Most of the episodes revolved around events at Mel's Diner."

Can you believe it's been TWO YEARS since the first 'Kiss My Grits' event here? It's time for us to have another delicious breakfast event at 'Mels Diner' in honor of the 40th Anniversary of the tv show. Since August 31 falls on a Wednesday this year, we'll meet a few days before, on Sunday August 28, to accomodate everyone. This is the restaurant used for the exterior shots of the television show and is still open! No matter where you're coming from it should be an easy drive.

No pre-planned agenda or 'rules', just show up at 8:00 a.m. for a great breakfast and chat with your fellow geocachers from around the Valley.

It's Sunday morning so traffic should be very light.
