Geocache Description:

A small Sistema container and a good exercise walk

Why Little Mermaid? Well, about 2 km further North West along the road is Mermaid Mountain (27 deg 28.417 min, 152 deg 48.583 min)with views to the west over Lake manchester. Just West of this cache is another, lower lookout with equally magnificent views to the west. Hence Little Mermaid!
The cache is hidden under a fallen tree a few metres North-East of the track.
For access there are two known parking spots:
At the end of Wirrabara Rd Anstead, you will find a step-through entry to the forest area. 27 deg 31.729 min, 152 deg 50.955 min. You might find a couple more caches between here and Little Mermaid to make the trip more worthwhile.
Alternatively, starting at Haven Rd Upper Brookfield (27 deg 29.692 min, 152 deg 51.580 min) will also give you plenty of hills to get the heart pumping. Take the sealed bitumen track uphill to the west from here, through a pipe/gate.
For either track (they both meet eventually) set aside at least a morning or an afternoon as the walk will most likely take most mere mortals at least 4 hours return. The roads are all 'fire access' type roads, and are very rough in places, with some steep bits. Also, take plenty of water, and perhaps a cream bun or two for sustenance.
This is certainly not on the list to do if you wish to find 50 caches in the day!
