An easy find at Shawnee Indian Mission, a 12-acre National Historic Landmark.
Tour historical Shawnee Indian Mission daily Tues-Sun to learn about children from several Indian nations who attended this manual training school between 1839 to 1862. Scenic landscape offers paved walkways throughout entire 12 acres; but cache hunt requires walking through grass, too. Traditional ammo box includes Geocache permission note from the Site Administrator, courtesy of the Kansas State Historical Society. Original contents include swag for all ages and a new travel bug named Spider that wants to visit other Indian missions.
