Small larger sandwich sized Lock-n-Lock with camo. Alpine forest
terrain including small shrubs, boulders, rocky uneven ground,
steep slopes, trees and in season snow and mud. Easy parking below
the cache site.
My wife and I frequently travel through this part of
the Black Hills and are amazed at the lack of caches in some areas.
Finally we decided to do something about it. This is one of the
most scenic areas of the Hills. The road up the mountain toward
Sylvan Lake and the gateway to the Needles highway is always a
green and lush area to see. In Winter, the snow can make this road
difficult but still worth a look. One of the very firt caches I
DNF'd is nearby and is one of the older caches in South Dakota.
Please pick your path well and take time to rehide the cache as
good as or better then you find it. I left a few pencils and
sharpeners in the box but please trade up or even for anything
else. Enjoy.
