SATURDAY, MAY 11th

This is a CACHE IN - TRASH OUT event (CITO event). The geocaching game board, aka the Earth, is pretty awesome. Clean it up by attending this CITO event on May 11th and logging the event as "Attended".

TRASH OUT:

We will be picking up trash at the nature center and possibly help with trail repair and upgrades. You are free to leave at any point but then again you might miss one of the treasures you could find out there.

This nature center has allowed geocaches as far back as at least 2003. Lets show them some love for allowing us to play this game. There is a earthcache and a traditional geocache hides in this nature center.

CACHE IN:

There will be some "things" with “things” written on them. Find them and you get the prize listed on them, one prize per person. Everything from cache containers to trackables and a geocoin are up for grabs.

Special souvenir:

By attending a CITO event anytime from Friday, March 1 through Friday, May 31, 2019 you will get a unique souvenir added to your geocaching profile.

You may wonder, "Okay, but what do I do?" ...

  1. Before the event:
Grab as many friends as you can.
    Post a "Will Attend" log.
  2. Meet at the posted coordinates at 2:00 PM.
  3. Help Clean and maintain trails.
  4. Come back to this event cache listing.
  5. Log online that you "Attended.”
  6. Feel good about what you did.

Bring a camera. Take photos. Upload the photos to the event page.

Cache In Trash Out is an environmental activity intimately tied to geocaching. Whenever you are out looking for geocaches, look around and collect litter along the trails and properly dispose of it. Practice policies of Leave No Trace (LNT.org), the center for outdoor ethics.
