This cache is for the cachers that like to travel. It's a very simple cache hidden on the new "Phoenix Trail" by the Atlanta Airport. At least that's what the police officer I talked to this morning called it because Phoenix Boulevard is just south of this trail. The opening ceremony for this trail was today (5/14/14) while I was staying across the street at the Sheraton.
I scouted out this trail this morning and met Officer Friendly and we had a nice chat about geocaching. He was intrigued so I showed him several containers that I had in the back of my car. I asked him if this trail was open to the public and that's when he told me about today's ribbon cutting ceremony. So come on out and enjoy this new trail. I think he said that it's 2 miles long and that it used to be an old railroad track. I named this cache accordingly because of my challenge cache that I also hid along this trail.
