Geocache Description:

Epping Forest is Private land, so the cache has been removed.

Just inside the M25 at the edge of Epping Forest, this stash is reachable to most Londoners by public transportation. It's in easy terrain, although it can get extremely muddy, so wear appropriate footgear.

It may take some trekking through mud and horse doo (lots of horseback riders here), but we think it's worth it. Hopefully you'll see some nice trees and varied terrain - a mix of gravel and dirt paths through open grassy fields, dense forest, slight hills.
There are numerous tube and train stops that will get you close. Chingford (British Rail from Liverpool Street) and Loughton Underground (on the Central Line) are both roughly 1.5 miles from the stash. Follow the various paths and bridleways until you get close, then it's a short stroll through the forest to the site.
There are some beautiful trees in this area - hornbeam and oak - that take on a creepy look when the sun is low. The cache is stashed inside the trunk of one of these fallen trees (you should probably decrypt the message below). Look for the clear, square Rubbermaid container. Inside, we put some items for both kids and adults. Don't forget to sign the log book!

Additional Hints (Encrypt)

Provided the undercover isn't too thick, you should be able to see it from the center of the slight clearing the tree has fallen away from. If not, look for one of the larger fallen trees, it's on the stump end of a barkless trunk.
