With a GPS receiver and internet access, you are ready to explore
and hunt for a "geocache". Learn the basics necessary to enjoy this
eco-sport including suggested equipment, GPS receivers, the
website, how to search for a cache and types of caches.
After the presentation, the group will go to Lion's Park (just
down the road) to put their new skills to practice (transportation
on your own). Children are welcome to participate with their
parents or caregiver. Program will include searching for temporary
caches hidden at Lion's park. You will enjoy the thrill of the
hunt, but the real discovery is the countless locations of natural
beauty and historical interest you will find that you never knew
existed. Families are encouraged to participate. Please dress for
the weather and bring your flashlights. Workshop will include both
an indoors and outdoors portion. If you have a GPS receiver, please
bring it (not required).
