Beautiful pink sand dune not too far from Arava highway
This lovely sand dune is not too far from Timna park.
Take the turn off to Timna from the Arava highway. Take a right turn (North) onto a dirt road right after passing Kibbutz Elipaz. You will be driving parallel to the fence of the kibbutz.
This dirt path is marked by a black trail marker. Continue driving North for about 2 km. (By car takes awhile because the dirt road is bumpy.) Follow the black trail marker - it will turn to the left (West.) Continue till you see the sand dune across the wadi on your left (North).
We drove in a regular car with no problem.
Cache area is about 100 m before the black trail meets the Israel National trail (white, orange and blue)
Cache is in a black film canister. Original contents includes coins and a small toy. Please bring a pen to sign log "book".
Please return (and push) cache to same place so it stays hidden and won't be taken by a flash flood.
