Não vem nos roteiros turísticos da área de Lisboa mas é um
bonito palácio praticamente à porta da capital. A vila do
Sobralinho pertence ao concelho de Vila Franca de Xira e situa-se
entre as freguesias de Alverca e Alhandra, ocupando uma área de
4,2km2.
You won't find it in the tourist guides for the area of
Lisbon but it's a beautiful palace near the capital. Sobralinho
village is part of the Vila Franca de Xira district and is situated
between Alverca and Alhandra, occupying an area of 4,2 square
kilometers.
O Palácio fica na Quinta Municipal do Sobralinho, localizada no
limite norte da freguesia. O edifício data do século XVII, quando
foi fundado pelos condes de Vila Flor (depois Duques de
Terceira).
The palace is located in Quinta Municipal do Sobralinho,
which is on the northern side of the village. It was founded in the
XVII century by the Counts of Vila Flor (later Dukes of
Terceira).
No século seguinte foi alvo de uma remodelação. Mais tarde, em
1944, foi vítima de um incêndio que obrigou à sua reedificação e
remodelação, com colecções de arte. Graças a Ricardo Espírito Santo
Silva, que adquiriu o imóvel, o Palácio do Sobralinho é um dos
pontos de maior interesse patrimonial do concelho.
It was remodeled in the next century. Later, in 1944, an
inferno destroyed the entire building which was then rebuilt and
remodeled, with art collections. Thanks to Ricardo Espírito Santo
Silva, who bought the building, Palácio do Sobralinho is one of the
most interesting places in the district.
A Quinta Municipal do Sobralinho está aberta de segunda a sexta
entre as 8h00 e as 18h00 e aos sábados, domingos e feriados entre
as 10h00 e as 18h00.
The Quinta Municipal do Sobralinho is open from monday to
friday between 8h00 and 18h00 and on saturdays, sundays and
holidays from 10h00 to 18h00.
A Cache / The Cache
Esta cache é uma multi-cache com duas etapas terminando com um
pequeno tupperware plástico de 0.3L. A primeira etapa está
localizada nas coordenadas indicadas e nesta micro vão encontrar as
coordenadas para a cache final.
The cache is a two stage multi-cache ending with a small,
0.3L, plastic container. The first stage is located at the
published co-ordinates, and in this micro you will find the final
cache co-ordinates.
O sinal do GPS não é muito forte na localização final -
provavelmente vão ter que calcular o ponto final num local próximo
onde tenham melhor cobertura do satélite. As coordenadas finais
foram obtidas através de uma média de dois pontos opostos e
equidistantes da localização final.
Satellite reception is not good at the final location - you
will probably have to work out the final location from a short
distance away where you can get better coverage. The final
co-ordinates were obtained by averaging, at 2 points on opposite
sides and equidistant from the cache location.
