Geocache Description:

This cache is the first in a series of three caches designed to take you high up in the mountains for a spectacular view of the Illinois Valley.
The container is a camo mayo jar so it will hold small trade items and TB’s (don’t let them get trapped for the winter!)

You will need to first find “Those who came before us #1” to get the North coordinates and then find “Those who came before us #2” to get the west coordinates to the final cache called “Those who came before us #3”. The final is a 50 cal ammo can filled with normal cache prizes.

After you find the final cache (“Those who came before us #3”) proceed approx 100-150 south and west to the name sake of this site. Please e-mail what you find that you think this cache was named for.
Also as you approach the cache be sure to wave at the Bolan lake lookout for anyone who may be staying there.

The final cache is at high elevation and will not be accessible in the winter months. The road to the cache is graveled and gets steep in a few places. While placing the cache it was accessed in a two wheel drive pickup but wet weather may require 4x4 for traction to avoid damage to the roads. This first cache is located at a road junction and you should proceed up the left road to find the second stage and final cache.
