Cache je ulozena v blízkosti obce Svatý Jan nad Malší a je venována závodu historických vozidel "S kopce do kopce" v obci kazdorocne porádaných.
Svatý Jan nad Malší
Legenda o vzniku obce Svatý Jan nad Malší praví, ze farár Joanes Bernardius Riezenschopfer z Velesína uvidel jednoho vecera roku 1732 nad Locenickou horou svítit pet hvezd a tento úkaz si vyložil jako zjevení svatého Jana Nepomuckého. Farár si pet hvezd spojil s tímto svetcem proto, že pet hvezd se podle legendy údajne objevilo nad hladinou, když byl Jan Nepomucký svržen do vody z Karlova Mostu. Mají symbolizovat 5 písmen latinského slova "tacet", což znamená "mlcí". Hlava svetce, pet hvezd a modrá barva (voda) je také soucástí znaku a vlajky obce. 
Na památku zázracného zjevení nechal tento farar Riezenschopf postavit na Locenické hore (624 m n.m.) kapli s obrazem sv.Jana z Nepomuku. Dostavenou kapli posvetil vsak az jeho nástupce Theofil Ignác Hostounský 16. kvetna 1735. Kolem kaplicky vzniklo postupne trináct usedlostí. Kaplicka se záhy stala oblíbeným, hojne navstevovaným poutním místem.Kaplan Vojtech Metla chtel poutní místo ucinit jeste známejším a tak roku 1777 zahájil sbírku na stavbu kostela, který by nahradil puvodní kaplicku. Díky prispení místních obcanu, obyvatel okolních vsí a za výrazné financní podpory hrabete Buqouye z Nových Hradu byl roku 1786 dostaven kostel s ambity. Zajímavý architektonický komplex tvorí dlouhý jednolodní kostel uprostred a tri ramena chodeb v cele a po stranách. Na plochostropé ambity, otevrené do prostranství u kostela arkádami, navazuje obydlí kneze. Kostelní vez, vysoká 37metru, je dodnes dominantou širokého okolí.
Po dokoncení stavby kostela byla postavena v letech 1787 1789 kola a fara. Sochu sv. Jana Nepomuckého nechal postavit v roce 1873 místní rodák Jan Nepomuk Vrzal-Šimek a vytesal ji samouk Jan Kadlec z Trhových Svinu.
V roce 1895 se konaly v údolí reky Malše pod Svatým Janem nad Malší velké vojenské manévry. Rídil je osobne císar František Josef I. K pruzkumným úcelum byl poprvé v historii vojska použit horkovzdušný balón rízený dvouclennou posádkou.
Svatý Jan nad Malší vyhrál soutež Vesnice roku 1997 a postoupil do evropského kola. Proto 6.dubna 2000 obec navštívil pan prezident Václav Havel s chotí. Pri príležitosti návštevy byla na návsi panem prezidentem zasazena pametní lípa.
Vedle slavné místní pouti jsou jednou z nejvýznamnejších akcí, kterou porádá obec spolu s hasicským sborem, "Mezinárodní závody historických vozidel' s názvem "S kopce do kopce". K atraktivním vozum souteže, se vedle mnoha dalších místních autoveteránu, jiste radí i TATRA 17/31 rok výroby 1928 hasicského sboru obce.

Tato cache je tématicky venována mezinárodnímu závodu historických vozidel 
S kopce do kopce a byla uložena v dobe posledních príprav trináctého rocníku této souteže /8.zárí 2007/. Cache má následující omezení pro log a výmenu.
Log
Pro uznání logu cache je treba, aby byl zalogován po 8.zárí 2007. Je-li log prováden v den závodu "S kopce do kopce", letos v sobotu 11.cervna 2016, je velmi vítaným zpestrením logu fotografie cachera (ci alespon cacherovi GPS ci mapy), s nekterým z historických vozidel úcastnících se závodu S kopce do kopce

Cesta k cache
Presto, ze je cache venovana automobilum cache neni drive-in (i kdyz neni nemozne se k cache autem dostat). V okoli cache nevede zadna rozumna cesta a pritomnost aut by budila zajem obyvatel vesnice. Proto zadame vsechny autogeocachery, aby sva geoauta pri ceste k cache odkladali treba na navsi sv.Jana (viz tento waypoint) ci Locenic. Dekujeme.

Svatý Jan nad Malší
The legend says that Joanes Bernardius Riezenschopfer from Veleslavín could see one night in 1732 five stars shin over the Locenice mountain and that he understood this phenomenon as an apparition of svatého Jana Nepomuckého (St. John Nepomucký). Legend says that the five stars allegedly appeared above the river, after the martyr was thrown there from the bridge in Prague. They are supposed to symbolize the five letters of Latin word “tacet”. The stars, blue color of water and martyr are used today as symbols of the village. Under the influence of that miracle he decided to built a chapel on the Locenice mountain as a remembrance of that the most favourite patron in Bohemia and its neighbour countries. The church has been built as an elementary one-nave temple and it becomes a favourite building attracting a lot of pilgrims during the celebrations of patron's remembrance. That's why the cloister, the vicarage, the school and a pub have been added on. Since the end of the 18th century become Svatý Jan prospering. Changes in 18th century didn't stop the development of Svatý Jan but they markedly influenced it. Svatý Jan didn't stop to be a pilgrimage place, while the classes earlier encumbered by the serfdom as peasants and housemen got together with the education an opportunity. They could express their relation to that place and their participation in the faith and education use during the formation of newly arising village. Originally there was a chapel with the painting of the St. John from Nepomuk just on the top of the hill until 1777. Chaplain Vojtech Metla launched the collection for the church construction. The symmetrical building of the church with the cloisters has been finished until 1786 thanks to contribution of the residents, citizens of neighbour villages and a great financial support of prince Buqouye from Nové Hrady. Its tower high 37 m has been a dominant of the vast environs even nowadays.

Apart from the well-known pilgrimage one of the most important events, which has been organised by the municipality together with fire serviceare, is indisputably 
the "International race of historical vehicles called Downhill-uphill. This cache is devoted to this event and the cache was placed just before 13th year of the race, which happened 8 September this year. Therefore there are few limitation for log and trade connected with this cache.

For the valid log you have to log after 8SEP2007 (the race's day in 2007].When you are logging on the day of the race (this year 11June2016), we would like to ask you to upload picture of the cacher (or GPS,map) with one of the historical vehicles attending the race 'S kopce do kopce/Downhill-uphill/'

Track to cache
The cache is dedicated to cars but unfortunately the cache is NOT drive-in cache. That does not mean that you cannot reach cache by car, but that mean, that there is not good track leading to cache neighborhood. Other reason for not using car to hunt the cache is village around :) - the village people are really curious. So we beg you to park your car in some good place (village square could be good choice) and walk to find the cache. Thank you!
