This Cache has been placed for the 70th Anniversery of THE GREAT RIVER ROAD. The great river road was established in
1938 as National Parkway of the Mississippi River.The Great River Road in Iowa is 326.2 miles long. This cache is just a few blocks off of the river but well worth the trip.The Muscatine Art Center is actually two facilities,the Laura Musser Mansion and the Stanley Art Gallery,which are adjacent. Peter Musser,an ultra wealthy lumber baron,as a wedding gift for his daughter,Laura and her new husband,built the Edwardian-style Musser Manion in 1908.The
once private residence is now a house museum filled with
exquisite examples of period furnishings ,rare antiques,and priceless works of art. The contemporary Stanley Art Gallery Features works of nationally recognized artists and often displays impressive private collections.
The Center is open Tuesday through Sunday. No Fee is Charged.10am 5 pm Tuesday thru Friday. Saturday and Sunday 1pm till 5pm. The Cache is located in the Japanese flower garden it is always open,The Yews here are about 50 feet high. Two japanese bridges. There are also several original Snow lanterns here a great spot. This is a tupperware. With the normal goodies and log. It,s Super Kid Freindly.
