T & B's "How Hungry Are You?" Challenge Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Trekkin' and birdin': When we entered the world of retirement, we wondered whether we could afford to offer a night on the town anymore. Still, we kept this one going, knowing a couple folks were getting really close to completing it. Some of the fine caches on this list have begun to fall victim to the elements in the four years since we placed this challenge. HOT TROT has worked hard to maintain the integrity of KVR HI-LO, but weather and flooding make that a challenge for him. Montreal Mine #4 was gone when the last finders of this cache were there. We noticed in a recent review that xxxShiftMadCityxxx is now missing. And so it goes.

Whether followers have been able to complete the challenge or not, we hope the caches you visited in this pursuit have been as rewarding for you as we found them to be. For those who still have dinner coming....we'll honor that. Thanks to all who accepted the challenge and took a little bit of a walk on the wild side with this one!

Geocache Description:

~~~How hungry are you?~~~
Enjoy some of our most memorable experiences of this past year in our caching life, then come find this one, which is at the listed coordinates. Once found, we'll take two of your caching party out to eat at a nice LaCrosse area eatery at a mutually agreeable time!
Of course we enjoy watching our numbers increase, but more than that, we enjoy the wonderful places and challenges this sport called geocaching has taken us. We've explored caves reputed to house large cats, scaled mounds that seem almost vertical, paddled rivers to pursue an evil final and snowshoed across tamarack swampland for several hours...all in search of that much ballyhooed "smiley." These are the memorable smileys, the ones when asked, "Where was it and how do we get to it?" we can retell our adventures in excruciating detail, more than you probably care to hear.
We've completed, or are nearing completion, some geocaching challenge caches as well; the Wisconsin Delorme, Mile 51-HBZ Zuma, and a few others that are still "works in progress" for us right now. Well, it's time. Time for Trekkin' and Birdin' to give back to the caching community some of what we've been given! (Insert evil laugh here!)
To seek this cache, you will need to complete several of the caches we've put on the top of our Most Memorable Adventure lists. If you've already done some of these, that's okay. We'll put you on the honor system, too; it seems that most cachers we've met don't cheat on the Big Ones, we trust no one will cheat us, because in the end, you'll only cheat yourself if you miss one of these.
The caches are a bit far-flung, befitting our tri-state location along with having family "up north." They are all ones we've done within the last year. Each and every one of them is worth the effort you take to find them. Once you've completed all of these, head to the Coulee Region to hunt for this mildly interesting final, one which brings you close to where we live. Why?
Upon finding the final, we'll take your team, at least two of you, out to eat! After all that work, you deserve a good meal, and it will give us a chance to meet a few more geocachers.
