To be able to claim a find on this cache, you will need to first find at least one cache of every difficulty/terrain combination (81 unique combinations). As part of those finds, you'll need to have at least one of each of the cache types below (the different cache types DO count against the 81, so if you find a 2.5/2.5 multi-cache, it fulfills both requirements.):

Event Cache - Event Cache CITO Event - CITO Event
Traditional Cache - Traditional Cache Letterbox Hybrid - Letterbox Hybrid
Multi Cache - Multi Cache Unknown Cache - Unknown Cache
Earthcache - EarthCache Virtual Cache - Virtual Cache

You must also have found at least one of either of the following two types of caches:

Webcam Cache - Webcam Cache Wherigo Cache - Wherigo Cache

How do you track your caches? Here are two options:

  • Create a bookmark list and keep track
  • Use FizzyMagic's FindStats Program (requires download)

Basic rules (to keep things easy):

  • All cache finds must be in Arizona, cache finds outside of Arizona do not count
  • All PREVIOUS cache finds DO count - you do NOT start from "0" at this point
  • All finds (except the Event and CITO Events) must be on caches that were published BEFORE 2012 (to avoid "dummy caches" being listed just to meet the requirements)
  • No rating changes of existing caches will be accepted as counting towards your goal. Note: see exceptions below.
  • accepted rules, guidelines and conditions for logging a cache find apply
  • These must be caches listed on Geocaching.com that you have personally (physically) found and logged
  • No logging finds on caches you own will be allowed
  • If you have others with you when you find the final cache, only those who have fulfilled ALL criteria for this cache will be allowed to log it as a find.
  • Finds without the proper back-up will be deleted
  • This cache does not count as the 5/5 in the matrix. You must find a 5/5 before this one

Please keep to these simple rules to keep things fun for everybody. Smiley

Exceptions:

  • GCGQN5 Puma Projection: On January 1, 2009 there were some changes made to this cache. The cache owner felt those changes warranted changing it from a D5/T3.5 to a D4/T3 rated cache. If you found this cache before January 1, 2009 you may count it as a D5/T3.5
  • GC18VH5 1UP-manship: Counting this cache as a D5/T3.5 will be allowed, even though the original ratings differ.
  • GC21TDX It's... Monty Python #2: Counting this cache as a D5/T3.5 will be allowed, even though the publish date is after June 28, 2008. This is because it is a reincarnation of the archived D5/T3.5 cache, GCD600 It's... Monty Python #1.

To get credit for this find (and keep your find from being deleted) you must post one of the following with your found log:

  1. A link to a bookmark list showing all the caches that meet the requirements
  2. A link to some list you created that shows all the caches that meet the requirements

This should be fun and I'm counting on the honor system for sticking to the rules (especially the finds on caches published BEFORE this one). I will spot check the finds, but don't want to have to be the cache police on checking every find. Please "play" fair and have a good time!

When I placed this cache, I parked near the corral at Palace Station along the Senator Highway. From there it is about a 1/2 mile hike with a 560' elevation gain to the cache. For this cache, I'd set the difficulty/terrain rating as a 2/4. The 5/5 rating is due to having to find a 5/5 cache in order to log this cache.

Congratulations to Arizona Ranger Team for being Arizona's first well rounded cacher!

The FTF prize is now a STF prize and is a Tonto Pass. Yeah, I know, the cache is in the Prescott Forest.
