Our first smiley came from a visit to the “Oak Ridge Tower” cache on July 28, 2007. In honor of this, we decided to return the favor and create a cache that will add a smiley of our own in this area.
As suggested by the name, this cache is a Micro so bring a writing pole, yet the area it's placed in is unique and worth visiting for young, and old alike.
There are no established trails to speak of, so make sure you have supportive footwear and an adventure to be outside. There’s parking at: N 44 12.737 W090 43.282
The Jackson County Forest is open to the public for recreational use. With that said, this area is heavily used during the deer gun season, so take this into account when you cache the Jackson County Forest.
We would like to thank James Zahasky, JCF Administrator for giving us permission to place Geo Caches on Jackson County Forest Property
